When I think about Christmas, I do not think about San Francisco. I think about New York City, New England and places that have snow on the ground. This is my first December living in San Francisco. It has been raining and brisk days that require warm coats. We have been very busy getting settled into our new home, going to school and working. However in spite all of this, William and I have managed to have a lot of fun and adventure every weekend.

The first weekend of December we went on a Ferry Ride to Alameda to visit the Pinball Museum. The Ferry gave a beautiful view of San Francisco. Sometimes it's easy to forget about the Ferry when you have the BART, but we both really enjoyed not being on a crowded train under the bay. Bonus points for having alcohol and taking clipper card

On Sunday we went to the Dickens Faire. This was my second year of going. We snacked on tea, roasted chestnuts, and absinthe. William bought a vest and I bought bloomers. For those interested, the link is here http://www.dickensfair.com

The following weeks was filled were filled with holiday parties, attending a friends ice skating performance at the Yerba Buena Ice Skating Rink. They do a performance of local children who I swear will be future Olympians one day. It was only $15.00 and really an amazing experience.

Finally, we attended the American Bach Soloists' (http://www.americanbach.org ) production of Handel's Messiah at the Grace Cathedral in Nob Hill, SF. If I could recommend one thing to anyone in their lifetime is to experience a choir and orchestra of that caliber performing such a beautiful piece. The Hallelujah chorus was amazing and truly
